This is a mild undulating walk. We start on the Macclesfield Canal, gradually go up to the summit of The Cloud, where we may have an early and longer lunch break, depending on weather conditions.

On the top, the panoramic view over East Cheshire's lush plains, valleys and hills is stunning.

Our return route is mostly on grassy footpaths through scenic fields and taking in some interesting places.

On a wet day certain areas may be extremely muddy and the last section up to the top is rocky, so the right walking gear is needed.
