A high level walk with lovely views over Arkengarthdale and Swaledale.
There is lot of ascent on this walk but most of it is a very steep climb to Fremington Edge and is over by our coffee stop. There is a further sharp climb after lunch but it is much shorter and the rest of the walk is moderate in difficulty rating. However the climbing does mean this walk takes longer than most.
We climb to Fremington Edge then follow the ridge before descending to Langhtwaite. Then we climb up to skirt Reeth Low Moor and get lovely panoramic views over Arkengarthdale Moor and Swaledale before descending to wind our way back in the valley to Reeth.
Note there are a LOT of very narrow squeeze stiles on this walk, particularly in the afternoon.
Post walk refreshments will be at the Dale Bike Centre cafe.
