Starting across Harpenden Common and on through the Woodland Trust's new Heartwood Forest to Sandridge. Then across undulating open countryside into St Albans via Verulamium Park. Toilets are available at the lunch stop at Sandridge village hall. Possible pubs or cafes at end of walk.

Lunch: Picnic, cafe or pub at Sandridge.

Train: London Bridge: 09:36, London Blackfriars: 09:42, Farringdon: 09:46, St Pancras: 09:51, West Hampstead Thameslink: 09:59, Arr: 10:17. Get return to Harpenden. Returning via St Albans City Thameslink station.
