This walk takes us to the lands north of Haydon Bridge and promises spectacular views across the Tyne valley.
The route is via Plunder Heath, New Alston and Chesterfield, then across Haydon Fell towards Settlingstones (the site of a mining community until 1969 - see link for co-curate photos). We return along the Haresby Road to Holm Bank, Prior House and Whinnetley Farm from where we cross to Hill House and enter Haydon Bridge via Peelwell.
A mix of field and moorland paths, tracks and country lanes.
