Overview

A circular route close to Lake Vyrnwy following sections of the lake road and forest tracks through the Dyfnant Forest, including a short  section of Glyndwr's Way.

There are a small number of stiles which are in good condition . Some of the forest paths include longer inclines but provide great viewpoints on a clear day.Long trousers are advisable.

Please bring lunch , snacks and drinks for the two stops during the walk.

Public toilets are close to the car park at the start of the walk plus close to Lake Vyrnwy dam.

Abertridwr community car park is located in LLanwddyn village. As you come down the steep hill(B4393) approaching Llanwddyn village, there is a camping field on the left. The carpark is on the right ,marked by the road sign Abertridwr. Beware of the potholes. Note: If you go too far you will arrive at the junction where the village shop and petrol pump are located.Turn around and start going back up the hill for approximately 50 metres.The car park entrance will be on the left after a small number of houses.
