Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

Walking along the highpoints of north London with great views along the way. The walk starts at Belsize Park station and ends at Alexandra Palace, walking through green spaces, and woods with views of London. From the station we meander across Hampstead Heath, initially climbing up Parliament Hill, and continuing to the Pergola and Golders Hill Park. The walk continues over the heath via Kenwood House and from here we make our way to Highgate.
Continuing on from Highgate we wander through the ancient woodlands of Queens wood and Highgate wood, then along the Parkland walk for more views of London from Alexandra palace.
Please bring a packed lunch. We will stop for lunch at either Golders Hill Park or Kenwood House (there is a cafe and toilets at both), depending on time.
High points: Parliament Hill 98m, Golders Hill Park 135 m, Highgate Wood 101m, Alexandra Palace 89m.

The walk is mainly along well. made footpaths, although, some sections can be muddy after rain.
