Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
An urban walk at a steady pace which features graffiti art, cafes, canal paths and Victoria Park.
There will not be a lunch stop as such but there are cafe options at Hackney Wick along with plenty of eateries at Broadway Market with some more Hoxton Station.
It is hoped that people might want to browse at Broadway Market to allow those who want to have lunch or a coffee stop but the walk leader will work with the mood of the group.
As the walk will finish at Hoxton Tube, there will be an option to visit the Museum of the Home which closes at 5pm.
Toilets will be available by the cafe in Victoria Park and at Haggerston Park.
Travel: Start at Hackney Wick Rail Station [Zone 2] which is on the Mildmay Line. Nearest interchange stations are Stratford and Highbury and Islington.
Walk ends at Hoxton Rail Station [Zone 1+2] which is on the Windrush Line (Nearest interchanges are Highbury & Islington and Whitechapel Station.
As there are building works taking place outside the station, please meet in the ticket hall area.
