We follow the Cray Valley through Foots Cray meadows to Foots Cray. Tarmac paths lead us to Sidcup Place, where we cross the grass to the Star Inn for a picnic in or near the walled garden. After subways under a busy road junction, we enter Scadbury Park and pass the remains of the Moated Manor. Crossing a busy road, we enter St Paul's Cray Common, leading to Petts Wood.
