Overview

A pleasant walk along the left bank of the river Medway, from Yalding Station to Maidstone, for access to Maidstone East station, or Maidstone Barracks station. This is a flat, linear, walk with one or two stiles.

Lunch: Picnic at Barming Bridge - snacks and drinks usually available at a kiosk, but not guaranteed.

Train: Charing Cross 9:59 (Dover Priory train); Waterloo East 10:02; London Bridge 10:08; change at Paddock Wood (arr 10:47) to take the 11:00 to Yalding (Strood train) arr 11:07. Buy day return to "Maidstone Stations". Return from Maidstone East, or Maidstone Barracks.
