Walking in Gloucestershire
Whether you walk on your own, with friends, your dog or in a Group, please join Ramblers to support our aims to defend footpaths and protect the countryside for everyone.
If you havent already, have your post code ready and choose one of the Groups within the Gloucestershire Area or just the Area itself.

As a Ramblers Area, we help locally people discover and enjoy walking. We’re committed to protecting the places we all love to walk to make sure they remain open to everyone on foot.
We help look after paths and green spaces, we open up new places to explore and we act as the leading voice on walking matters near you. We’re often the first point of contact for the Ramblers with local government, other local charities, and the local offices of national bodies such as Natural England and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Cotswolds, Lower Wye and the Malverns.
We also support our local Ramblers groups to organise regular group walks. They are a great way to experience the outdoors and explore new places safely and in good company. You’ll receive a warm welcome from our experienced walk leaders and like-minded walkers.
If you have any questions about our activities or how to get involved, please do make contact with us.
