Overview

From Bedford station to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple and then through Bedford's riverside along the Great Ouse past bridges, locks and weirs to Priory Country Park. We return along the river to the Castle Mound and the town centre with cafés and pubs.

Toilets: use on train or at Bedford station, then none until lunch.

Lunch: café or picnic at the Cloverdale Retreat in Priory Country Park.

Train: London St Pancras 9:45 (East Midlands Railway train to Corby from high level platforms 1-4), arrive Bedford 10:25. Freedom Passes cannot be used on East Midlands Railway, so buy Any Permitted Route return from St Pancras to Bedford.
