Overview

Varied walk with some steep ups and downs (take sticks if you use them) on footpaths and lanes through the woodlands, fields and orchards of the N Kent Weald via moated Ightham Mote House and along ancient tracks past an Iron Age fort on Oldbury Hill.

Train: Charing Cross 9.59, Waterloo East 10.02, London Bridge 10.08, arr Borough Green and Wrotham (BGW) at 10.49. Pass holders buy return from Swanley to BGW.
Lunch: Picnic/cafe at Ightham Mote House, NT but open to all. Cafe is usually very busy so take food.
Loos: on the train and at the lunch stop.
