Overview

A circular walk on good, clear paths and quiet roads, fairly gentle overall with a couple of short climbs giving varied excellent views of scenery around Loughrigg Fell. The clockwise route initially follows the B road alternative towards Ambleside for 1 Km before gently ascending the fell side to round Ivy Crag, then descend to Loughrigg Tarn. The loop is completed passing the south-eastern point of Grasmere (the water) and alongside Rydal Water return to the start.
