Join us for a rewarding day out in the northern Lake District, taking in classic fell scenery and a variety of terrain. Starting from High Row, we’ll head towards Barbarry Rigg before following Rowantree Gill, where small waterfalls add interest to the landscape. A steady climb leads us to Calfhow Pike, offering views towards Thirlmere.
From here, we’ll cross a series of Dodds, reach Raise, and descend via The Chimney—a distinctive route with a sense of adventure. Our journey continues over Glencoyne Head and across Watermillock Common before finishing with a descent into Dockray.
A great walk for those who enjoy open fells and a mix of gentle and challenging sections. In case of poor weather, we’ll take a shorter descent via Sticks Gill.
