Overview

A walk of two halves. Starting in Goring, the first part explores the initial few miles, of the further reaches of the Chiltern Way. Passing through the Great Chalk Wood, Blackbird's Bottom and Crays Pond.

The second half joins the Thames Path at Goring on route to Wallingford. The walk will be paced at approx 2.5 mph. This walk is part of the Ridgeway series. Please bring a packed lunch.

There is a drop-in point at approximatley 6.5 miles Goring and Streatley station.

Depart London Paddington Railway Station 10:03 (Swindon) arriving Reading Railway Station 10:41 Then Reading Railway Station 10:50 (Didcot Parkway) arriving Goring and Streatley Railway Station 11:02

Return Crowmarsh Gifford Church, Bus no. X40 to Reading Railway Station, every half hour. Then Reading Railway Station train to London Paddington Railway Station, many and regular trains.

Freedom pass holders travel free on the Elizabeth Line to Reading Railway Station
