Overview

A walk of contrasts! Starting at Hounslow Heath (site of the first London Airport), where we meet the river Crane. We follow the riverbank through Feltham Cavalry tunnel to Pevensey Rd Nature reserve, joining the London loop. Next we see the Shot tower and mill pond island with a brief stop to look around. Following the river on a variety of paths (riverbank or tarmac) to reach Kneller Gardens. A stop here for lunch, please bring a picnic, there is a cafe for drinks, benches and toilets. Continuing along the Crane to Twickenham town centre (possible drop out). Here we meet the Thames, & will pop in to see the York House statues before crossing Orleans and Marble House grounds. Then over river bridge to the finish at Richmond station.

No toilets at Hounslow West first available 25mins after start.
