The walk takes us along Leyburn Shawl then towards Preston Under Scar. We don't go right into the village but take the path south to cross over the railway line. We cross over the road and take the track to the Bolton Estate and onto Wensley passing Bolton Hall. From Wensley it's across the fields and a little climb back up to Leyburn
Good paths and tracks but can be quite muddy in places
There are a few stiles from Wensley to Leyburn
