Overview

A brisk walk along part the Hangers Way, a long distance path which lies within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the ancient market town of Petersfield. There will be a very steep ascent and descent of Shoulder of Mutton Hill, where the view at the top is spectacular, and further undulations. Some paths are uneven and there are stiles.

Lunch: at Hawkley. Please bring picnic - pub for drinks/loos only.

Train/transport details: London Waterloo 8:45; Clapham Junction 8:52; (South Western train to Portsmouth and Southsea).  Buy return to Petersfield.
