Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
Walking at a brisk pace from Ramsgate to Margate via Broadstairs and Botany Bay. We will walk along chalk cliffs and promenades taking in the views over the channel and refreshing ourselves with the sea breeze. Lunch stop near the Captain Digby at Kingsgate Bay for refreshments only. Please bring a packed lunch.
Finishing at Margate to enjoy the cultural pleasures of art and traditional seaside fare or just get the train back to London if you prefer. View it as a grand day out that’s worth the distance and cost.
Travel: Take the 9.07 from St Pancras International changing at Ashford (the 9.07 does go directly to Ramsgate but changing at Ashford shaves 15 minutes off the journey). Arriving at Ramsgate at 10.36. Buy a return to Ramsgate.
