A surprisingly rural walk in North London/Hertfordshire over firm paths, tracks and fields. From elegant mansions to rolling countryside and a secluded lake. Starting at High Barnet station we go through Dollis Valley, Totteridge Lane and Village, on to Mill Hill and then return to High Barnet. Several hills but not steep. Drop out point at Mill Hill Ridgeway with buses to Mill Hill station or Totteridge & Whetstone station, both Northern Line.
Lunch: Garden Centre cafe or picnic spot nearby.
Train: High Barnet station is served by the Northern Line (Zone 5).
