Overview

We explore the Three Rivers of Colne, Chess and Gade, their wetlands and woodlands, and the many old railways that pass through them. From Watford through Cassiobury Park to the Gade and the Grand Union Canal to Rickmansworth town centre, with lunch at the Aquadrome. We return on the Ebury Way crossing the Chess and Gade, across Croxley Common Moor, and then following the Colne to Oxhey Park and Bushey. Toilets at Cassiobury Park hub (near start); the Aquadrome (at lunch) and Oxhey Activity Park (near end).

Lunch: picnic or café at the Aquadrome.

Train: Watford underground station (Zone 7) is served by the Metropolitan Line. Return from Bushey station (Zone 8; Nat Rail or London Overground).
