A brisk and hilly suburban mid-week walk starting at Belsize Park and linking 4 of the best viewpoints and high points in North London - Parliament Hill, Highgate Hill, Alexandra Palace and Kenwood viewpoint - finishing at Hampstead, after descending down from the highest point in London at Jack Straw's Castle/Whitestone Pond.
Mostly on good paths or pavements, so suited to trainers, although there may be some muddy patches. Please bring your own lunch but there will be places on route to pick up food and drinks, (it will be very warm) and plenty of cafe and pub options at the end of the walk.
As there are over 1,200 feet of climbing, this brisk walk requires a reasonable level of fitness. The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on the speed of the group and how long we spend at each stopping point.
