Overview

This walk starts at the Plough Inn Farnsfield and is a gentle walk along various paths taking in Combs Wood which hopefully will be dry in August. Early on in the walk we take in the WW2 Halifax Bomber Memorial where a British aircraft came down on return from operations in Europe on 6th July 1944 killing all seven crew. There is a long stretch of walking  through a wooded area beyond Combs Wood where the terrain is bumpy and walkers need to be careful as it drops down to a minor road - poles are advisable.

There is only one stile and no road walking.

If you would like to join this walk please contact the leader using the email link.
