Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
This is a circular walk in Hertfordshire from Brookmans Park to Wildhill and back. It is predominantly along footpaths through fields and woods with some lane walking.
The walk will start at 10.40am and finish at about 4pm with a lunch stop at The Woodman pub. Depending on numbers we should be able to sit at picnic tables or on the grassy area outside the pub. Suggest you bring a packed lunch to allow for a prompt start to the afternoon section.
No booking required
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
Travel
Take the 09.57 train from Moorgate arriving at Brookmans Park at 10.37. This is a direct train. At time of writing there were two trains an hour from Brookmans Park back to Moorgate.
