Depart Kirkland car park NY65077 32571 at 09:00.

Walk will be led by Roger L.

A route to take in the perfect isolation on the Pennines, it's mining history and the highest top on the Pennine ridge. Via Bank Hall onto the Maiden Way, up to Meg's Cairn and along to Smittergill Bothy. Through the old Smittergill Mine to the shooting lodge, then up to Raehow End and up Cross Fell for extensive views across the Eden Valley to the Lake District. Continuing SW pick up the Blencarn Path and descend Wildboar Scar, finishing with Grumply Hill on the return to Kirkland.
