This is a circular walk starting at Henley on Thames railway station, we walk through the town and then up into the hills above Henley, mostly along the Oxfordshire way, passing the manor at Henley Park.
Lunch will be in the pretty village of Hambleden, there is a pub and a village shop which, as well as the usual produce, sells tea, coffee and cakes. But, please bring a packed lunch.
After lunch the walk takes us through the Great Wood before dropping down to the river Thames, we then cross over the weir footbridge at Hambleden Mill and continue along the towpath past Temple Island back into Henley on Thames.
There are some inclines in the morning but nothing strenuous, the walk is mostly flat during the afternoon.
Meet outside the station at Henley on Thames.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
Drop out points: none.
