A pleasant 9.5 mile circular walk from Welwyn North railway station passing through farmland, fields, woods and a clutch of mid Hertfordshire villages. There will some inclines and a short stretch of road walking.
Please use the toilets on the train.
Lunch will be in the village of Bramfield, on benches around the playing field and in the church grounds.
An arrangement has been made to use a community centre toilet facility at lunchtime. We need to leave it clean so please bring covers for boots.
The Grandison, a local pub nearby is open for a drink. Muddy boots may need covers or to be removed.
Please bring lunch and refreshments with you.

There will be a brief stop at St Peter's church in Tewin, to look at the hand stiched Millennium Kneelers - a community cross stitch project (optional).

The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as, weather, the amount of mud, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
Travel
Please take the 10.27 train from London King’s Cross (10.33 at Finsbury Park) which arrives at Welwyn North at 11am.
Buy an off peak return to Welwyn North on the Great Northern service (direction of Cambridge).
