Overview

We walk through suburban Kingston to Richmond Park and then up to the Isabella Plantation before swinging around to leave via Ham Gate. We continue across Ham Common and cross the River Thames at Teddington Lock. We walk through Teddington to reach Bushy Park where the lunch stop will be at the Pheasantry Cafe.

Packed lunch is recommended however snacks and hot drinks are available at the lunch stop.

In the afternoon we will walk around the lake in Bushy Park to reach the Hampton Court gate and from there enter Hampton Court Park walking up beside The Long Water to reach the River Thames towpath. We complete the walk beside the River and finish at Kingston Station.

Drop out points are available at Teddington Station in the morning and Hampton Court Station in the afternoon.

No booking required.

No dogs.

Travel

Train: Take the 10.12 from London Waterloo, 10.16 Vauxhall, 10.21 Clapham Junction, 10.28 Wimbledon arrives Kingston at 10.40.

Travelling arrangements might be affected by industrial action or other incidents that are unknown at the time of route posting.

Pay lavatory facilities are available at half an hour into the walk in Richmond Park and at the lunch stop.

Walking shoes should be fine.
