A Winter Wander up to Grisedale Tarn

We will take the Coast to Coast path from just outside Grasmere and walk up to Grisedale Tarn. Coming back down the same path, we will branch off and walk above Hause Riggs and then follow Little Tongue Gill down the valley on the other side of Great Tongue with lovely views over to Helm Crag and beyond. Back at the footbridges, we will pick up a traverse path back down to our parking place. The walk will be on mostly good paths (particularly the C2C) with a grassy descent and a very short section by the side of the A591 at the start of the walk. There are also several ghylls to cross with the majority having stepping stones. The walk will be done at a very moderate pace throughout, particularly when ascending.
