Overview

From the village of Orton, in The Westmorland Dales, we ascend to the Victoria Cross at Beacon Hill on Orton Scar. There are panoramic far-reaching views towards the Lake District, the Pennines and the Howgills. We descend from Orton Fell and pass the ancient “Gamelands” stone circle before returning to Orton Village.
