Overview

We initially set off west along the Old Coach Road before leaving it and taking the good path that begins a very long, mostly steady, ascent of Great Dodd (steeper as we near the summit). We continue south west to Watsons Dodd and then to Stybarrow Dodd (both summit's). Next we turn east and head to our final summit, Hartside. We then start a long descent that brings us down to Douthwaite Head Farm where we pick up the minor farm road that takes us back to the Carpark.
