If you like myself enjoy a good discussion after reading a book then this is the group for you. Join me for the launching of the Capital Walkers Bookclub on Monday 19 May.
The book for this first month is The Salt Path by Raynor Winn, which is being released as a film in the UK on 30 May. It is available in paperback, kindle and audio editions and in many public libraries.
Booking is required for this event as places will be limited to 12 participants. Please text or email the event organiser to secure your place. Whilst it may enhance our discussion and your participation there is no expectation that everyone will have managed to finish the book- please feel able to join us no matter how much of the book you have read. This event is now fully booked.
A WhatsApp group shall be set up to communicate the meeting place in central London. We shall meet from 6.30pm to enable people to get a drink and/or even dinner, for a prompt 7pm start, with a formal finish time of 8.30pm. For those who wish there will be the option of lingering a little longer over a drink.
If you have a book you wish to recommend the group reads for the next meeting on 16 June, bring it along. Each month we shall vote on future reads which will ensure variety and democracy. Please keep to a page limit of 400 to ensure people have sufficient time to read the book. The next book for reading and discussion (3rd Monday of each month) will be advertised monthly with a booking system in place.
