This is a walk from Bingham Market Place taking in two villages in Rushcliffe which are both in a Conservation Area. We start from The Butter Cross pub and head to the railway station where we cross the bridge to start the walk. The walk is on roads and paths some of which may be muddy, so poles are advisable. There is little by way of gradients.
There is a fair amount of road walking through Car Colston and then for about a mile along a busy stretch of road before entering a field and crossing a stile into Scarrington where we can see the 17 foot high Scarrington Horseshoe Pile comprising 30,000 horseshoes.
There is another stile, which is higher than normal, before we come back into Car Colston and then a different route to return to Bingham.
If you would like to join this walk please contact the Leader using the email link. Numbers are limited to 15 due to a stretch of road walking on a potentially busy road.
