Overview

This walk will take us from the village of Eyam through moors and villages of the Peak District. There are toilets close to the car park at the start of the walk.

This lovely walk takes us across Eyam Moor and along Abney Clough towards Abney, then heads to Abney Moor and turning south towards Abney Grange on to Great Hucklow and Foolow before returning to Eyam. There are some steepish ascents and descents.  We should have some good views, weather permitting, looking towards Win Hill and across Hathersage to Stanage Edge. We may see gliders from the airfield near Great Hucklow. Please note that the moors will be boggy if we have had a lot of rain. The paths can be rough in places and there are several stiles on the route. Walkers are advised to wear suitable supportive footwear.  The route includes some road walking on narrow roads where care will need to be taken.

If you would like to join this walk please contact the leader using the email link. Numbers limited to 15.
