We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF WALK – Please include details of the terrain and the pace. We will walk along Kinoulton Lane until we meet the Grantham Canal which we follow for nearly a mile along the canal path until we come to Spencer’s Bridge where we continue along Owthorpe Road. We go right into New Road until we come to the path to St. Mary’s church where we will have our coffee break. This is approximately 2.9 miles from the start. We then continue down the footpath to Colston Bassett, which we walk through and then follow the footpath back to Kinoulton and the Nevile Arms. There is the option of a pub lunch after the walk.
The terrain is undulating, with kissing gates to go from one field to another. Please bring refreshments for the coffee stop. We will be doing a fair amount of road walking so we will all need to take care.
With our unpredictable weather, one needs to be prepared for rain and, possibly, mud.

Take the A606 towards the A46 roundabout where we take the road signposted Kinoulton going north then take the road to the right which takes us down to Kinoulton and we follow the road to find the Nevile Arms at the T junction.
