We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We will walk from Barrow Upon Soar along the riverside towards Mountsorrel. Our route takes us through part of the village and climbs upward past some of the original quarry workings of which there are several close together in the area.
We continue down to and along the side of Swithland Reservoir. Crossing the reservoir dam we continue until we meet an over bridge across the GCR Heritage Railway. At this point we follow the line of the railway for a short distance, the footpath taking us more directly toward Quorn and then back to Barrow on Soar.
The route is on good paths some of which could be muddy after rain, and on minor roads. There are a couple of low stiles. There is some village walking through Barrow, Mountsorrel and Quorn.
Dogs on short leads only, please.

The car park is just off the town centre roundabout. Take care on entrance and exit, and please park close to save room. Car park is free.
