Clumber Park was once owned by the Dukes of Newcastle but is now the most visited property in the National Trust. Apart from the parkland there is a Walled Kitchen Garden where the National collection of rhubarb is grown. There are over 130 varieties in the garden. The rhubarb is used in the cafe and also sold on the cart in the garden. Our route takes us into the Park, passing through the Visitor Centre, along Cedar Avenue to the Walled Kitchen Garden. Here we will join a guided visit of the garden with a National Trust volunteer. Afterwards we’ll continue our walk around the lake and back to our starting point. 6 miles
