A mainly woodland walk through Surrey starting and ending at Farnham station.
We will take the start of the North Downs Way, soon leaving to join other paths, bridleways and sunken paths, first along the River Wey and then through woodlands and fields. We will aim for a late lunch at Puttenham Common where there is a car park with a coffee kiosk most weekends, so come prepared with snacks and a picnic, then heading north we will rejoin the North Downs Way to return to Farnham.
There will be mud, especially if there is more rain before the walk, and one area was flooded at the time of the recce and will probably still be flooded when we walk, so there will be a minor diversion to avoid paddling in the muddy pond.
The pace will be brisk, but the terrain is rolling hills no steep ascents or descents.
There are no toilets on route, but plenty of woodland. There is a toilet at Farnham station, but it was locked on my recce, but there are toilets on the train and on the platform at Woking, although those on the Waterloo train will not have time to use them.

The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
