Join us for the second stage of the Wealdway, from Borough Green to Tonbridge, continuing our journey which eventually goes all the way to Eastbourne on the South Coast! The walk will be brisk (2.5-3 miles/hour) and mostly gently undulating, and pretty flat towards the end - but may be muddy and even wet underfoot (so you may want to wear gaiters and/or bring poles if you use them).
Exiting Borough Green, we head through villages and pick up the Wealdway through woodlands old and new, catching dramatic views here and there before descending to the River Medway, passing locks and weirs en route to the historic town of Tonbridge where we will glimpse the dramatic castle.
We will stop for lunch near West Peckham at about 12:30 - please bring a packed lunch. The village pub will be open for drinks and toilets.
For those that wish to stay on for a drink, we will stop off at a pub close to Tonbridge station.
