Overview

Leaving Marlow station we pass Higginson Park where there are toilets. Then across the Thames at Marlow Bridge and up Winter Hill(190ft) for views of Heath End Ridge on the other side of the Thame. After descending to the river we follow the tow path to Bourne End rail and foot bridge where we cross over to Bourne End. We will stop for a picnic lunch on the river bank not far from the Spade Oak pub so people can go there afterwards for drinks and toilets or people could go straight to the pub for a quick lunch there. We then walk through Little Marlow, climb a shallow hill (282 ft) into Bloom Wood and follow an undulating route back to Marlow via Marlow vineyard.
