A walk in the undulating Bedfordshire countryside, first visiting the village of Ridgmont and then walking through the Woburn Abbey estate (the seat of the Dukes of Bedford since the seventeenth century) and Deer Park. We may also get glimpses of the Safari Park. We will then make for the village of Brook End, Eversholt for lunch. A picnic is recommended - seats by the cricket ground or drinks (and toilets) available at the nearby Green Man. The afternoon walk follows part of the Greensand Ridge Walk back into the Deer Park, passing Woburn Abbey itself ( closed this year for major repairs) and then passing some of the lakes into the busy Georgian village of Woburn itself. We when go via farmland and Aspley Wood to Aspley Guise station
