Overview

A short walk from the iconic Aira Force to the village od Dockray and then on to Matterdale Common and continuing along below Swineside knott , with wonderful views of Ullswater and the surrounding fells, before descending to Aira Force.

The walk is all on good paths, with some quite boggy stretches on Watermillock Common. Dogs must be kept on a lead. We will walk at a moderate pace. Please bring a National Trust card for the carpark if you have one.
