Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
An urban walk which features parks and canal paths.
Walking a steady pace, we will come across graffiti, hip cafes and a viewing point of East London.
There is an option to visit the Museum of the Home before the walk starts as well as Whitechapel Gallery via the Hammersmith & City Line from Mile End Tube Station.
Walkers are welcome to have a lunch-stop at Mile End Park. We might be lucky and can eat our lunch on the viewing point. Cafes on MIle End Road.
Travel: Start at Hoxton Rail Station is on the Windrush Line [Zone 1/2] (nearest interchanges are via Highbury and Islington and Whitechapel).
Walk ends at Mile End Underground Station which is on the Central, District and Hammersmith and City Lines [Zone 2].
No booking required.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
