Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
A circular walk from Petts Wood mainly by the London Loop.
At Farnborough we follow local paths to Mill Hill for Leaves Green to link back with the London Loop for High Elms Country Park where we stop for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch.
We return to Petts Wood via Farnborough, Crofton Wood, Sparrow Wood and Jubilee Country Park.
Exit points - Four Kilometres (2.5 miles) from the the start of the walk at Farnborough for bus 358 for either Orpington or Bromley or Six kilometres (3.7 miles) from the end of the walk for the same bus to either of the previous destinations.
Travel: Take the 10:25 train from London Bridge Railway Station, arrives Petts Wood 10:52.
Meet at the exit leading to Morrisons Supermarket - ie The exit thats the opposite side to the ticket office.
Use Oyster/Contactless/Freedom Pass.
No booking required. No need to email or text. Just turn up to join the walk.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
