Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
Brisk 3 mph walk
Combining woodland, fields, historic villages, a majestic mausoleum and a public footpath through huge vineyards.
There are some steep undulations before and after lunch. Walking sticks and supportive footwear are therefore recommended. Snacks and plenty of liquids are encouraged especially during the warmer weather.
Bring a picnic lunch. There will be time for a quick drink at the newly reopened "5 Bells Pub". There is also a convenience store, where all (machine) hot beverages are priced at £1.59 a cup.
There are ample spaces and benches to sit at lunchtime, by the river, or in the churchyard.
There are no exit points.
Travel: Take train from Victoria 10.42, Bromley South 11.05; Freedom Pass boundary Swanley.
Buy a return to Sole Street Station.
The meeting point is outside the station, before the car park.
No toilets at the Station use toliets on the train.

The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors, such as weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
