Overview

From Seathwaite, we will make our way up to Sprinkling Tarn via the path alongside Grains Gill and Ruddy Gill. Then, we will walk down to our second tarn of the day, Styhead Tarn and descend back into the valley via the Styhead Gill path.  The walk is on good, mostly pitched/stony paths with just a couple of sections that need care. The paths could be slippery in wet conditions and it may be best to bring microspikes (or similar) just in case the remnants of winter conditions are still around higher up the Ruddy Gill path. The walk will be taken at a moderate pace throughout.
